Hopebotics is a young start-up company located in Hong Kong Science and Technology Park (HKSTP), founded by two Professors from the Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) (Prof. Raymond Tong, Chairman of the Dept. of Biomedical Engineering; Prof. Zheng Li, the Dept. of Surgery) and Ph.D. Students. We dedicate to provide the latest soft wearable robotics for stroke rehabilitation. We collaborate with local clinicians and therapists to offer professional rehabilitation guidance and services. We worked hand-in-hand with 20+ local stroke associations and rehabilitation centers to conduct product development and clinical training. We are currently supported by the Incu-Bio Program (HKSTP) and TSSSU+ (CUHK).Hopebotics is committed to establish a platform integrated with soft wearable robotics technology that can provide rehabilitation, daily living assistance, and social functionalities to improve the quality of life of the elderly and disabled population.

Job Title: Electronic Engineer
Job Summary:
As an Electronic Engineer specializing in rehabilitation robots, you will play a pivotal role in designing, testing, and improving the electronic components and systems that drive our robotic devices. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, therapists, and clinicians to ensure our robots are reliable, safe, and meet the needs of our users.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, simulate, and test electronic circuits and systems for rehabilitation robots.

Develop and maintain electronic schematics, PCB layouts, and assembly documentation.

Collaborate with mechanical and software engineers to integrate electronic systems into robotic platforms.

Conduct thorough testing and validation of electronic components and systems to ensure reliability and performance.

Troubleshoot and resolve electronic issues that arise during the development and operational phases.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of our electronic systems, incorporating feedback from users and clinical trials.

Participate in user training and provide technical support as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Strong understanding of electronic components, circuit design, and embedded systems.

Experience with PCB design and manufacturing processes.

Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards (e.g., IEC 60601, FDA guidelines) is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
